Carlos Artemio Coello Coello [8].

How can you find scientists in Mexico? How can you find the most important researchers in Computer science? What are the lead research centers? I’ll answer back you. Well, first of all, I’m going to use my Google-Fu skills to find useful information, I’m working with government sources.

Mexico’s government has CONACYT, which organizes the science and how this country doesn’t have a strong private investment in it, so CONACYT leads the research. They’ve created a governmental agency to promote quantity and quality science research called National System of Researchers or in short SNI, so I’ll research in SNI list which tells me what are the most important researchers in Computer science, I’m supping SNI level 3 are them. Then I distinguish by this Ranking of Research Centers [1] 3 center researches in Computer science:

  1. Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN CINVESTAV.

2. Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada CONACYT.

3. Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas CONACYT

CINVESTAV’s SNI level III in Computer Science [7]

Carlos Artemio Coello Coello [8]. The National Prize for Arts and Sciences winner 2012 [9] has the first paper Evolutionary algorithms for solving multi-objective problems which have 9217 paper citations [10], in all 60624.

Oliver Schütze [13] researches numerical optimization multi-objective optimization, so his main paper is Using the averaged Hausdorff distance as a performance measure in evolutionary multiobjective optimization with 391 paper citations, in all 3754.

Francisco Rodríguez Henríquez [14] has a principal paper Cryptographic algorithms on reconfigurable hardware which have 302 paper citations [13], in all 3239.

CICESE’s SNI level III in Computer Science [5]

Favela Vara Jesús [4]. His lead paper is Context-aware mobile communication in hospitals which has 384 paper citations in IEEE [6], in all 5734.

Kober Vitali [2]. His top achievement as a researcher is Fast algorithms for the computation of sliding discrete sinusoidal transforms [3] which has 38 paper citations in IEEE.

CIMAT’s SNI level III in Computer Science [15]

Salvador Botello Rionda [16] has a main paper Handling constraints using multiobjective optimization concepts which have 187 paper citations, in all 637 [20].

Julio Estrada Rico [17], The general theory of phase shifting algorithms, 180, in all 1173 [21].

Rafael Eric Murrieta Cid [19], Distance-optimal navigation in an unknown environment without sensing distances, 151, in all 667 [22].

José Luis Marroquín Zaleta [18] researches computer vision.
